Training

Obedience & Puppy Classes
Attending group classes at FOPR is a great way for owners and their companions to learn in a secure, comfortable setting. You and your pet will work on skills such as basic commands, confidence building, leash training and socialization. Classes meet weekly for approximately six weeks and last an hour each. Puppies need to be at least four months of age. FOPR admission requirements apply.

Private Lesson
Group classes may not always be the best learning situation for everyone. For those pets who have a specific concern to be addressed or those owners who prefer a more intimate setting, private lessons are available. Contact us at FOPR for details.

In Kennel Training
FOPR is happy to host in kennel training during your pets stay with us. Training typically consists of six to eight sessions and includes a "how to" for the owner. In kennel training works great as a refresher course. FOPR admission requirements apply.

Admission Requirements
Vaccinations: Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccinations must be current and administered by a licensed veterinarian. Documentation is required.

General Condition: All guests must be of acceptable cleanliness and free of fleas and ticks. Bathing and grooming is available through FOPR.

Behavior: Because we do a lot of hands on interaction with our canine guest, only friendly, companion animals are accepted. Certain dogs may be subject to evaluation before admission.

Registration: Registration is required. Confirmation response from FOPR needed to secure e-mail registrations.
